Ethicon Coated VICRYL™ Absorbable Suture – 5-0

The Ethicon Coated VICRYL™ (Polyglactin 910) Absorbable Suture is a sterile, braided, synthetic absorbable suture designed for reliable soft tissue approximation and ligation where absorbable support is indicated. The undyed braided construction provides excellent handling, secure knot tie-down, and predictable absorption characteristics.

This suture is mounted on a P-2 reverse cutting needle, featuring an 8.0 mm, 1/2-circle geometry, engineered for precise penetration and controlled tissue passage. The reverse cutting design enhances strength along the needle body while minimizing tissue trauma, making it well-suited for delicate closures requiring precision.

VICRYL™ sutures are absorbed through hydrolysis, offering a predictable absorption profile and consistent tensile strength retention during the critical wound-healing period. Each unit is sterile EO processed and intended for single use only.
