The Ethicon® Coated VICRYL™ Absorbable Suture is a synthetic, braided, violet suture composed of polyglactin 910 and coated to support smooth tissue passage and consistent knot security. It provides predictable tensile strength during the critical wound-healing period and is absorbed through hydrolysis.
This Size 0 configuration with a CT-1 taper needle is commonly utilized for soft-tissue approximation and ligation where controlled handling, minimal tissue trauma, and reliable absorption are required.
