Ethicon PDS II Polydioxanone Suture – 4-0 (Z310H)

The Ethicon PDS* II Suture is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable polydioxanone (PDS) monofilament suture designed to provide extended wound support with predictable absorption characteristics. Its violet monofilament construction allows for smooth tissue passage while minimizing tissue drag and reducing the risk of infection associated with braided sutures.

This configuration features a 4-0 (1.5 metric) suture with a 27 in (70 cm) strand length, mounted on an SH-1, 22 mm, 1/2-circle taper needle manufactured from ETHALLOY® needle alloy for consistent sharpness and strength. PDS II sutures are commonly selected for soft tissue approximation and ligation procedures where prolonged tensile strength is required.
